The Double Veil Workshop is a specialty prop workshop for use of two veils, but also useful for anyone interested in developing their single veil skills too.

Mastering the fundamentals. How to hold double veils, fundamentals of getting inside and out, transitioning from single veil effects to principle double veil effects. Guidance on developing strength, smooth transitions (the rule of "8") and spins.

Suitable for all level of dancers, including dancers already using veil but wishing to build stronger foundation effects, and perfect existing skills. No intense spinning required. Students will be able to dance double veil choreography at the conclusion of this session.

1:15 p.m. - 2:45 p.m.

Advanced Level

Length:2.5 Hours
Prerequisite:10am Novice Level Class (no exceptions).
Cost:Costs include entry into the 10am Novice Class.

Prerequisite--must have completed Novice Level earlier to achieve a common vocabulary and skill set to progress to more challenging effects. Please keep the progressive nature of the workshop strong and honor the prerequisite.

Performance elements: building a repertoire of double veil effects: anchored veil moves, veil regroup strategies, standing taksim and traveling moves, considerations and formula for creating graceful transitions between effects. This class is geared for the experienced veil dancer (and very motivated novices), and involves practice of selected multiple effects exercises in sequence, sustained spinning effects featured here.
